Job Summary:

Primary responsibilities include assisting in the maintaining firewalls, IPS, Antivirus, performing vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, upgrades, troubleshooting infrastructure security, perform the integration of products into complex environments and troubleshooting various aspects of production networks. In addition, design and complete accurate documentation of the entire project or service rendered. The cyber security engineer will also develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach. Secondary skills should include managing internal policy, procedure, network security design, and implementation.

Essential Functions:
Candidate will work with the following security appliances, products and processes including design, installation, support, administration and maintenance of all aspects of security, including incident containment and remediation.
• Watchguard
• Juniper
• iPrism
• Nessus
• Nexpose
• F5
• Blue Coat
• McAfee
• Big Fix and various other information security technologies.

Specific experience in the following areas for the vendors above would be advantageous:
• Design for integration
• Initial installation
• Complex upgrades
• Vulnerability Assessments
• Penetration testing
• Troubleshooting operational issues

Other Duties:
• Staff meetings, as required.
• Be a functioning part of the IS Dept.
• Perform other duties, as required.
• Work hours per salaried employees.

Education / Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• CISSP Certification
• 2-5 years’ experience in the field of security.
• Understanding of Vmware and SAN technology.
• Understanding VLANs and general network routing.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, basic and advanced routing protocols, Internet protocols.
• Ability to use and understand analytical tools; i.e. TCPDump, Wireshark, NMAP, Nessus, etc.
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Project planning and implementation skills required
• Willingness to perform additional duties as required
• Professional, self-motivated individual with superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision, as well as, part of a team.
• Ability to apply technology to improve existing systems and architecture.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
• Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking with value-add contributions.
• Must actively participate in team support by proposing and implementing solutions.
• Staff meetings, as required.

• International travel is a requirement.
