Job Summary:
New Product Dvlpt Engineer: Penn Engineering & Manufacturing Corp Danboro, PA: Using CAD, Solid Modeling s/w incl Pro/E & FEA s/w incl DEFORM, conceptualize new ways to solve customers’ specific fastening problems & fastening needs poorly served by other prod or not served by other prod. Req Bach deg or foreign equiv in Mech Eng or rel + 2 yrs exp in mech rsrch, must incl exp in utilizing Solid Modeling s/w incl Pro/E or SolidWorks 3D CAD; using DEFORM or Matlab & Fortran num tools to eval strength & deformations seen by 2-dimen & 3-dimen representations of prod under various loading conditions; tech writing; mech failure anlys; cost eval; & HTML coding. Exp may be gained through empl, or through Bach level or higher coursework or rsrch. Dom & intl trvl req 10-20%.
